A Foreign Affair currently represents women from six Asian countries searching for love and happiness. Asia is a huge area and there are some real differences among the various Asian countries.

This article is going to briefly explain the differences between the various countries that a man should consider. Each country presents certain advantages and challenges, and that's why A Foreign Affair's years of experience are so important. 1. Philippines - The Philippines is easily the most popular destination for men interested in Asian women. The primary reasons for the popularity of the Philippines are cultural. Nearly everyone in the Philippines speaks English.

There is a long history of successful relationships between foreign men and Filipina women.

The widespread use of English is a result of the American occupation of the Philippines from 1898 to 1945 and a large American military presence that extended until 1998. During this period, many soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen married Filipinas, so there is a long tradition of Filipinas marrying foreigners, especially older foreigners.

The challenge to dating in the Philippines is that it is often hard to be seen as serious dating material. More educated women are often very suspicious. Going on A Foreign Affair tour removes a lot of that suspicion.

2. Thailand - A lot of men head to Thailand instead of the Philippines. Thailand has a very well developed tourist infrastructure. There are lots of flights and plenty of great hotels to choose from.

Thai women are beautiful, and many foreign men have had long-term relationships with them.

There is a tradition of Thai women marrying foreigners. It is not as strong as it is in the Philippines, but generally, this is not a problem. The biggest problem in Thailand is the language.

Thai is a tonal language and extremely tough for Westerners to learn. There are foreign men who have been living in Thailand for twenty years with their Thai wives who do not speak a word of the language. This causes a lot of challenges because many Thai women do not speak any English. This is one reason that our tours to Thailand are so popular.

Still, Thai women are gorgeous, and a substantial number of men do marry Thai women each year.

3. China - The last and ultimately largest country in Asia for international dating. The upside is that there are literally millions of beautiful, intelligent women who have been overlooked in the Chinese marriage market.

Chinese women are charming and graceful, and many of them welcome foreign men into their lives.

The Sheng Nu tradition basically states that a woman beyond a certain age is unmarriageable. In the not too distant past, a woman was Sheng Nu, or forgotten, at twenty-three. The age of Sheng Nu has risen over time, but women start feeling the pressure at about twenty-three and by twenty-seven, they are almost always considered too old for marriage.

This has made Chinese women very open to meeting foreign men. Many of these women are successful, beautiful, and intelligent. In fact, because Chinese men do not want to marry a woman who earns more than them, some of these women are incredibly successful executives and business owners. All of this has made Chinese tours a real success.

4. Vietnam - Vietnam is a rarely late arrival to the international dating scene. It does not have the impressive tourist infrastructure of either the Philippines or Thailand.

Despite the fact that international dating is still relatively new in Vietnam, several men have successfully found love.

The Vietnamese language is tough, but a lot more people speak English, particularly in the south. Foreigners, especially Americans, tend to be popular because a lot of people have relatives living in California. Again, this is more likely in the south because of the historical presence of Americans during the Vietnam War.

Summing up the experience of daters in Vietnam is a challenge because international dating is relatively new to the area. Still, the women are gorgeous and there is no shortage of guys interested in visiting.
